Providing individual investors and traders with the edge
Let's look at recent statistics from September 1999 to September 2009 stock market as measured by S&P 500
lost 20% of its value!
That means that if you invested in the stock market back in 1999 you are still waiting to get to break-even and
this is even before accounting for inflation! Even in this scenario you had to hold stocks through all volatility
during NASDAQ bubble in 2000
and recent Housing bubble
which many investors were not able to withstand and sold stocks
at exactly wrong time. That means that buy & hold investor approach that so many people have been using simply is not working.
Harsh reality is the next decade is not looking much better either with all government run deficits and bailouts of
big banks and financial institutions.
This was and continues to be very difficult environment for long term investors. And yet traders were able to make consistent
profits during this same period. Traders do not need the market to go higher the way buy & hold investor does.
In fact those people who actually trading the market instead of investing in it are finding out how flexible shorter term approach can be.
There are multiple ways to profit even during big declines.
But what if you don't know anything about how to pick right stocks and only bought and sold stocks based on just some rumors
that you've heard. This is where our Stock Trading Systems can help you.

LSM900.349564
This system trades stocks listed in S&P 900 (large and mid capitalization companies). The system maintains portfolio of 22 stocks with average of just 20 trades/week. Unlike other trading systems it did not experience high volatility at the end of 2008 and start of 2009 because of good balance of short and long positions and maintained quite low maximum drawdown of 28%. This is currently our favorite system which we use in our own trading.
LSM500.248544
This system trades stocks listed in S&P 500. It maintains portfolio of 20 stocks with average of 20 trades/week. Majority of these trades are long and just 5% are short which means that it is going to have high correlation to stock market movements. Because system is limited to S&P 500 stocks its returns are lower than other systems which can select stocks from broader sets but on the other hand it provides more safety because it only trades large publicly held companies like ExxonMobil, Microsoft, JPMorgan Chase, General Electric, Apple etc.
